From Hegemony to Ashes

The Political Economy of Portugal’s Forest Fires

Kathleen C. Schwartzman

Portugal’s relationship to its forest and forest management is linked to its history. In the 1500s Portugal sailed to and colonised locations on the Asian, African, and Latin American continents. and agro-exports.
