Gender Policies at Interfaces of Different Knowledge and Social Spaces in West Africa

The paper aims at engendering development policies with regard to agency and knowledge arenas in the everyday practice of state – civil society – citizens relations (based mainly on examples from West Africa). The focus lies on interaction and dynamic interfaces between different sectors and spheres including state agencies, markets, subsistence systems and social movements in supposedly participatory arenas.
