Negotiating development at glocalised knowledge interfaces

Author
Gudrun Lachenmann University of Bielefeld Germany

Abstract The paper takes up recent global debates within what can be called a social and cultural turn of development policy, by looking at interfaces and interconnectedness between different sites and spaces of knowledge production on development. It is assumed that these interfaces are on the one hand perpetuating, partly mystifying local knowledge and institutions, and on the other hand not producing appropriate methodologies and reflective spaces for validation.
