Abstract
Women seafarers face a series of gender related challenges whilst working in a male dominated maritime environment. These challenges include stress, anxiety, depression, isolation, loneliness and occupational injuries. It is important to note that the list of challenges is extensive and cannot be fully explored in detail at this stage.
