A Study of Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram and Tudum Debba

In particular, I elaborate on how dominant values permeate and animate Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram (VKA) and Thudum Debba (TD), orientating them towards their respective telos for adivasi communities. I draw on Joel Robbins’s notion of value monism, where he
examines value relations from a Dumontian perspective and describes ‘a monism that appears to subordinate all these other values and their levels under a single paramount one.’
